How do I transfer writing from a paper I scanned to a word document? |
How do I transfer writing from a paper I scanned to a word document? your scanner probably came with OCR software--optical character recognition. Use this software to turn the scanned file into a document. You may have to clean up some typos, since the OCR can't always tell between t's and f's, for one example. Hopefully, you're not trying to scan handwriting. go to word and tell it to acquire text from the file menu. U have to have the paper in the scanner just like the second answerer said...he clearly knows a lot about this stuff and i don't but i've done that thing before. You put the paper in the scanner, then on the printer options you click something like "scan and edit" or "scan to document" (depends on the make, but you'll figure it out). It will scan the paper and open it up as a word document which you can edit, but beware of typos, because as the guy above said the scanner gets mixed up sometimes. |
