Which is better to learn and more used in web making???

I want to learn "browser Scripting" which is different from "server scripting" {php and others}. Which one is better to learn first and will benefit me between javascript, html dom, dhtml, and ajax? I already know how to use xhtml and css.

To tell you the truth, you i think you should start with javascript and keep learning from there and never stop.

I would personally recommend server scripting because it is more widley use dand nowadays most of the sites run on servers either powered by Windows(uses asp.NET) or Linux (Uses PHP etc.) Nowadays PHP is taking over and is a litlle bit tough to learn. So if you would like to take my suggestion and learn asp.NET language i recommend you download the visual web developer from http://www.microsoft.com/express/vwd/ and you can get official tutorials from http://www.asp.net/learn/videos/

And if you prefer to learn PHP i recommend using Joomla that can be downloaded from www.joomla.org it is basically a content management software that will make it easier for you to manage your website.

Loaded question. Java, Javascript, PHP, ect all kinda complement HTML. While learning HTML, you should have a understanding of DOM
