Help! Css/HTML!?

Ok, I need some help.
Look at this profile:

It's a hi5 profile. You see , at the left side there is "about, "signs", "games", etc. When u click there it will apear an other "little window" without changing site or something else.
Now, my question. How can I do that? I saw it already in other internet-sites. So...even if it is a site where they explain how we make that, I need information!

The site you have listed does this with Java script, which I have disabled so it became very obvious very quickly what was being used. You can do that using java but you can also do it with CSS! NO SCRIPT needed!

Here is a link to a page that does this with images for a "photo gallery" BUT the same technique can be used for words etc.
