What is the demand for web designers and coders for the next decade?

People who are just starting to learn stuff like php, css, html, javascript and other web designing stuff and won't be done with college until another 4 years what will their outlook be for jobs?

It's looking really good dude! You don't even have to go to college for this field since most of it is available through the internet for free.

Pretty good if you plan to move to India.

There is plenty of job growth on the horizon. If I might give you a suggestion though, you shouldn't limit yourself to web development. If you're going to an accredited 4 year college, get a degree in software engineering. That will open up all sorts of options for you, including web developing.

The bureau of labor and statistics is the place to look for information about future job trends. Check it out at http://www.bls.gov

"Web designer and coder" is technically a combination of two jobs. Coders, or people who write php, css, html, javascript and other languages are considered computer programmers. Here's the outlook for computer programmers according to bls.gov:

"Employment of computer programmers is expected to decline slowly, decreasing by 4 percent from 2006 to 2016. "

Graphic design is the other side of the coin, graphic designers aren't worried about how a web does the work, their focus is on developing aesthetically pleasing content that maximizes the user experience. Here is the job outlook for a graphic designer according to bls.gov

"Employment of graphic designers is expected to grow 10 percent, about as fast as average for all occupations from 2006 to 2016, as demand for graphic design continues to increase from advertisers, publishers, and computer design firms."

In the REAL world, the most successful people in the web industry have skill in both of these areas, many people refer to them as "front end" (graphic design) and backend (server admin, scripting, and database management). To improve your chances of success, you'll want to focus on a specialty while being competent in EVERYTHING.

You may register at freelance website like http://ww.getafreelnacer.com/ and bid for few web designing projects posted there, you will find out within a day there are 10-20 bids for any project, and you will hardly win any project.

A lot of Graphic Design degree courses include Web Design for a portion and, because of this, Graphic Designers are able to do both Graphic and Web Design. Also, they could end up teaching either one in a high school.

Very good answer from Hank!
There will always be rooms for GOOD graphic designers (they are rare).
And there will be a WEADING of the coders: everyone who has used a web editor (Dreamweaver) thinks he/she is a coder. They are not. However, as web editors become more powerful, any "employer" begins to think they can do without the expensive CODER.
I suggest you more towards "web APPLICATION developer".
This does not really require exceptional graphic abilities (this can be done by an Artist without any knowledge of the web).
An APPLICATION is ... just a program !
The difference? It runs on ONE server, with multiple users simultaneously. Think of your bank branch: every employee is connected to the same server. Every input is immediately reflected on ALL the other terminals: THAT is an application.
They are extremely complex and their complexity increases with the number of users. Think again of your bank: one day, they will want to offer "on-line banking" to their clients. It is THE SAME APPLICATION that will handle it!
(Of course, they do not use "freewebs" for this. They have set-up their own servers, many of them. This also means that you will need to know the intricacies of web servers, Unix/Linux etc...)
Armed with this kind of knowledge, you will be a front runner and can ask as much as you want for your pay-check: these guys/gals are RARE... and will always be in demand.
