Charts in JAVA!?!?!?!?

I have this program to calculate windchill (for more info on what it is, read in wikipedia) and my teacher said it was too simple, so I downloaded an API to make Bar Graphs and Pie Charts and all...
I'm supposed to copy the ".jar" file into the JAVA/JRE/LIB/EXT folder but I can't import it into the application. Also, I have more than one JRE, which to choose? (jre 6.0, jre 6.0.1,jre 6.0.2). I need help, urgently!

The latest - jre 6.0.2. Copy the ".jar" file into the JAVA/JRE/LIB/EXT. Then include the jar file in ur classpath. Then import it.
