I have to do a project in java language in my college curriculum...please suggest me any good topic?

it should be comparatively easy to program as i have just learnt the language and that too basic part.

write a program that reads in a serialized sudoku puzzle and prints out the solution.

I had to code one of these in college and it was a blast!

I don't know whether your project must be in GUI or not so I put all.

For GUI and Databases (can use Text or MS Access)

For Non-GUI
Make it user friendly and contains many functionality.

1. MyJava Restaurant (You just get the items order * quantity and display the total payment).
2. Parking Charges

A really simple one take input as a number, adds it and outputs the solution.
This is a problem done in many beginning languages, BASIC, C, and so on.

2 + 2 = 4 and of course print the input, the operator the equality symbol and the result.
It would give you a chance to create a couple of functions or you can be verbose and do it without functions.
