In Excel VBA, how could we make a cell border flash?

If we do

Range("a1:a3").copy

then the border would be flashing, but it also alter the contents of the clipboard.

How could we make the cell border flash and without changing the contents of the clipboard?

I am not sure it is possible, it is certainly not one of the border linestyles (I just iterated through all possible values)

One approach might be to store the clipboard contents, then put them back when you are finished...
