Does anyone know the difference btwn logo and logotype? |
my teacher says there's a difference while the internet says it's the same thing... if u can give me some examples, please. thanx! If I remember correctly, a logotype is simply stylized text that's used as a logo, whereas a logo is usually a picture or symbol that doesn't rely so much on text to be recognizable. This being the Computers & Internet section, perhaps a good example would be Apple (logo) vs. Microsoft (logotype). :) A logo is a graphical element, (ideogram, symbol, emblem, icon, sign). |
