Ok i was on youtube and theirs a video,
And its a photoshop makeover!
But i can only find tutorials for it
i want photoshop makeover so i can
photoshop my pics
but i dont know how to get it ive seen all the tutorials and i just need to install or download or whatever!!

First things first: I am no graphic designer. Yes, I've sashayed my way through the Webmonkey Photoshop Crash Course, and I can drop a shadow and rock the cropping tool, but that's about it. Essentially my know-how is stuck in the halcyon days of version 3.0. I have Photoshop 6.0 on my machine now, and most of its many palettes lie fallow, whole drop-down menus grow dusty from disuse, and new tools are used only with trepidation (and usually lead to frantic Ctrl-Z-ing 鈥?Undo! Undo!). So when rumors of the latest Photoshop release began to percolate and all my designer friends started oohing and ahhing, I continued on with my ho-humming.

But when I learned that many of the new features in Photoshop 7.0 were designed with the amateur digital photographer in mind, I was all, "Giddyap!" Because really, few words describe me better than "amateur."


"What the hell is that?" people ask. And yes it is a clunky, soviet-loo king thing. But five years later, my AGFA ePhoto 307 is still going strong 鈥?the screen blank s out sometimes, but it's nothing a little violent shaking can't fix.


So I saddled up the Beta that Adobe had sent Webmonkey's way and trotted out my trusty ePhoto 307, AGFA's very-much-discontinued digital camera. Then I snapped a series of pics aimed at putting the latest release through its paces.

And what did I learn? Is Photoshop 7.0 magnificent? Or does it leave us itching for more? And, most importantly, is it worth the US$609 price tag ($149 for an upgrade)? Before we take a closer look at my findings, let's set things up with a quick rundown of this version's core improvements.
