Which programming software is the best? |
I'm a first year engineering student and I am a frequent user of Matlab at college. I'm looking to download a free alternative for use at home, but was wondering which of the following is the best for someone fairly new to programming - Scilab/Octave/Eigenmath/FreeMat? If you're using Matlab, you might want to try the Python programming language with the NumPy/SciPy extensions - I'm told they're quite similar. |
