Basically I have word 2007, and I want to have the top half of the page with 2 columns, which I've successfully done, but I want the bottom half with 1 column, how can I do this? It doesn't matter if I have to have a line running across the page and I used to know how to do this but I don't know how. Format the part you want into two columns. Then when you want it to be one column, go back into the column window in the format menu. Select a single column. The select "from this point forward" (should be in a drop down menu). That should work. Hope this helped. highlight the contents that you want to be in single column, then go to "page layout" tab, click "columns" from the "page setup" group. click "more columns", select "one" column from the "presets" then select "selected text" from the "apply to" drop-down list. |
