Can Frontpage & Dreamweaver Work Together?

I have created a ;arge website using frontpage...another designer wants to help maintain it, but only used dreamweaver. can we both work on the same site with different programs? If so, do we need to do anything special, or do we both just log in with our seperate programs? Please help...

Stick with only one of these, or you will end up with a horrible, mangled, unmaintainable mess. BOTH programs modify the underlying code to suite their own needs. I know as I own and use both of them, Dreamweaver far more frequently, and FrontPage almost never.

One possible solution... if you really need to occasionally tweak the site, and want to avoid shelling out the money for Dreamweaver, have a look at the completely free web page editor, NVU. Or, if you're comfortable looking at the underlying code (programmer style) have a look at ActiveState Komodo Edit, which is also free.

As long as you don't use features that are exclusive to dreamweaver, you'll be fine.

Yes, you can both work with frontpage and dreamweaver on your site. But you have to make sure, that you work on the file one at a time, else, you will keep writing over the work the other person has done. So be careful to be good in communication, informing the other person, that you are working on this file, so he should not work on it.

You can't to doing that .. coz when you working with front page and bulid you're Tables .. when you open this page with Dream weaver you will see reverbreateof every table you bulid it on front page ... and you can to bulid you're tables on front page reverbreateof and put the code on Dreame weaver that will working with you ... and i don't thing it is good idea.

Front Page adds its own codes (front page extensions) to the page - you should never use it. Most hosting sites are getting away from supporting it, since MS no longer supports it. A page written using front page extensions will run on fewer and fewer sites.
