Can anyone help me with querying a Novell Tree via LDAP from .NET 1.1?

I am working on a project whereby the system can query a Novell Tree structure, passing in a Username & Group name.
The calling application is on the .NET 1.1 Framework.
I need to determine the user's group membership from the query, pref via LDAP.
I have exhausted the Novell Developer stuff, as all examples seem to either do nothing group oriented or dont actually work.
So I was wondering if anyone may have any snippets lying around on this?
