I want to be a programming wizard...?

My college education is not giving me enough.

Can anyone point me to some top programming languages, also one of their good tutorials and a free IDE that can be downloaded from the internet.

suggestions r welcome.

I.e he should be able to work on any technology and any language. If you are presnted with a new language you should be able to start of with it in hours..

Just Master a single language

Say "C", you should be confident that you should be able to do any thing with that (from show to rocket science)
Then you have learn an OOP language , Java will be gd starting point.

then need a gd understanding of databases (Why not think of your own database written in Java)...

you may have hard work 4 or 5 yr to make your self confident... because there are thousand of techniques and technologies... everything based on 0 and 1. So the very first thing you need to do is question everything around you and learn how exactly your computer works...
