C or c ++ language help?

hi im 14 and im not to kean on the whole script kidie thing its stupid i dont want to break into other ppls computers or trace ip's or hack websites im just really really interested in learning programming lanuguage and yes i total understand its gonna take years and years but i want some of your guys oppinon where should i start and what is a free way to learn these languages and how to i learn them

theres ebooks and all that but id suggest buying a book from chapters or something, i have the C++ in 21 days book, my first starting out book, taught me alot, i still use as a reference if im not sure, but learn the basic's first dont do examples.basics. so you'll fully understand, if your getting into programming a very good code to start out with is HTML pretty plain and simple GL with future programming!!

I started learning programming when I was 15, and am now working full time as a developer.

As far as I noticed, it's best to start with learning algorithms. I.e. methods for solving certain classes of problems. This way you will get a sort of feel for how to go around starting to build a program.

And of course: practice practice and yet again practice.

As for learning a language: google tutorials. There are tonnes online.

for C, get a book by denis ricthie and start reading it. dont forget to write programs as well.

c or c++,both language is very easy to learn and very interesting ,from the beginning it's difficult to feel,after that it'll very interesting..

refer this link to get more details:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C_(programm...

I did C++ of which is basically the same as C, so i sugest that you get your self a textbook(Deitel & Deitel), latest edition, study it and then you'll be fine.

Programming is just the same, the difference is only the instructions of programming languages. For instance

if --- else---endif statements

All the programming languages has loops and conditional formating

If I were you, I'd start with a different language other than C/C++. It's not terribly hard to pick up the basics of C or C++, but it's very very easy to learn bad habits that are difficult to break. Also, despite what other people say, C and C++ are quite different, at least properly coded pure C is very different from properly coded C++. C++ being an extension of C, it's syntax is identical, but their each entirely different mindsets.

If you're serious about learning how to program, I'd like to refer you to a different question from a person who asked what language was best to start learning with. You can get to it at the following link.

u can learn both at the same time.
