Help! Printer won't collate with Vista?

Help! This is making me crazy and I HAVE to get this done. I am using an HP color laserjet 3700dm with Windows Vista. All drivers are as updated as they can get. I can't seem to get this to collate which is a HUGE problem for me. Any ideas or am I just out of luck with Vista

Its my pleasure to assist you.

However, as you have not mentioned the issue in details

I suggest you to install alternate drivers (Deskjet 990c) in the computer.

You don't require any CD for installing alternate drivers, alternate drivers are built in drivers that come with operating system.

To install alternate drivers:

> Click on start > Control Panel > printers > Click on Add a printer and proceed with onscreen instructions to add a printer.

> select HP from manufacturers list.

> Select Deskjet 990c from models list.

>If you are able to print fine with 990c printer icon, it confirms that issue with the software of the printer.

> If you want to use full feature software > Uninstall the software by performing Level 3 Uninstallation.

> Restart the computer .

> After restarting the computer download the software from HP website and install it.

Vista is no good, go back to XP

mine did that to...

go to ur printer's website and download its software =)

never mind the update , you wil probably have to re-install and then update the drivers....

try running as administrator or...go to properties and make it compatible with xp service pack 1 or 2.

Dump Vista and install XP. All your problems will magically disappear. I had Vista for about 6 months before I finally had enough and dumped it.

Let's list just some of the problems I had: constant crashes, incompatible hardware, shutdown and startup problems, takes forever to boot up (my 4 year old XP computer runs 10 times faster), network problems, etc. It just went on and on and on and on . Just when I thought I finally had Vista working properly something else went wrong.
