How can I get my Myspace banner to show a pic AND my status?

Basically, I have a premade layout that I really like, and want to keep the current picture that came with the extended network banner, but it doesn't show my status... as in it doesn't say the extended banner thing! Is that pre-coded in the pic, or the profile itself, or what? Is there anyway I can get the banner to show the pic the layout came with but also to show my status?

Ok, well it's too small for me to even see then... how can I make it bigger if that is the case?

after you select "extended network" - note the new options available below the dropdown that refer to making the text hidden or not

It does show it but it's very very very small!

edit profile, edit personal info/name info,etc...
