Question about making my own myspace layout?

I have the image I want, but how do I make it so that there is a white square over everything so that the image olny shows on the sides?

although i don't really know what you mean by "a white square over everything so that the image only shows on the sides", i've used this layout generator countless times:

just go to imageshack.com, upload your picture, and get the url (it starts with http: not [URL]). paste the url in the background image section and it should work. if it doesnt, try the other url (starts with http). and the rest is up to you: you can change font color, border thickness, font size, transparency of your sections, pretty much everything possible. when you're done, just hit "generate layout" in the bottom right hand corner to get your code. copy and paste that to your myspace page and you're done!
