Just installed graphics card and now I have no monitor. Please help!?

i have a brand new gateway and of course it came with an inboard graphics card, so I got a hold of gateway support and they explained that i needed to disable my on board graphics driver in safe mode, shut pc down and then install the new graphics card. the problem, I think, is that the new graphics card has no driver and I have no monitor to install one!!! Please, someone tell me what to do. thank you!

ok, I finally booted into safe mode from original outlet (not the new graphics card). so now do I download the driver for the GeForce 6200?

First take out the graphics card you bought, plug the monitor into the onboard graphics port, boot up, go into the BIOS-press F1 or F2 go to the intergrated devices( im guess its in there since every computer have different BIOS disable the onboard, save then exit, turn off computer, put back in new video card, it should be seen in windows then install the new nvidia drivers from the nvidia site if not then the cd that came with it, it should be working now.

Ok first u will go to displays. uninstall the current drivers restart install the new drivers.then shutdown .. now go to bios and where it says video or similar you are going to select either pci.. or pci-e whichever u are plugging the card into.. if its plugged into a long black port its pci-e if it white its pci.. then save settings and restart connect to the new card.. it will detect it and the drivers are installed already so it should work.. well after u change the display in the bios.. it should show video even if drivers are not installed .. then u can run the cd..
