Msn related question?

ok, I already know about it not working and i already know why.

but, when i try to sign in on Msn messenger it says " A newer version is available, You must install the newer version to continue, would you like to do this now?"

if i say no it wont let me even try to sing in, but if i say yes it come up with an error

why is that??? is it just because microsoft are incompetent??

For the new messenger you need Windows Xp or more, does't work with Win2000 or less.
