Anyone having trouble getting into their MSN Hotmail?

For the past 2 days, logging into Hotmail (if it even lets you sign on) crashes the browser or keeps looping back to the signin page. This happens on different browsers (Safari, FireFox, IE) and with Mac's and PC's. What is the deal with Microsoft this time, are they taking down all the accounts for periodic data-mining? Anyone else have trouble getting on now, and if you don't anymore how do you get in your email box w/o any trouble?

I have heard about Thunderbird, actually, from what I know it is like Mozilla's equivalent to Outlook, do they have a Mac version though.

Yep, thing just ain't working and more people are on here asking the same question.

I tried with Mozilla Thunderbird however, it took a while but it did download my Hotmail messages.

Suppose you know about Thunderbird, it's a bit like MS Outlook although they would probably collar me for saying that. You need the Hotmail extensions too, to configure it to download your messages.

same here, it just started today though. but im sure it will be okay in no time.

is this by any chance an AOL ISP specific problem, or broader?

Its down on 2 of my computers (desktop and small laptop) but working on my other laptop *shrugs* Seems to be down almost everywhere (different country) but its slowly coming back up.

Just an FYI -

Hotmail/ Windows Live is also not working or really slow here in Boise Idaho. I tried both at work and at home today with no success. If anyone has "work arounds" like the one about Thunderbird or something like that - feel free to share.

It was working yesterday till late at night...
Then this morning, suddenly, boom!
I have been using Msn for 2 years now, and this is the second time that something like this happens.
I also noticed there was a kind of msn virus among the users in your list. Every now and then my friends logged in for a minute, left a spam link and then went offline again but it wasn't them!!!?
I hope the MSN guys are trying to fix that thing too, it is awful!
