Problem big one help!!!!!?

my msn messenger wont work ive thried downlowding it but itjust wont work please help!!!

See if you have too many NAT exceptions in your routers firewall. I had the same problem and it's cuz Messenger creates exceptions in your router for it to work properly and if there are too many exceptions so Messenger can't create more, then it doesn't run properly. Access you router configuration page and try to find Virtual Servers or Network Address Translation and remove exceptions that you don't need to make room for Messenger. Also check that you don't have any exceptions that span every port cuz that's what caused the problem for me.

It sounds like (maybe) your file has become corrupted. First, you need to go to: "Add or Remove Programs" in the Control Panel. Click on msn messenger, click remove. Then go to:"www.msn.com." Click on "I'M Messenger." Click:"Join Now," to download and install Windows Live Messenger. After you get your Windows Live ID, open messenger, click on "Tools," and then click on"Options," to set it up. Hope this works. It did for me.

i use pidgin when my msn isnt workin try that

read the message it gives - I had to download a later version of internet explorer and update my version of windows before mine would work.

If all else fails, download aMSN. It's exactly the same thing, free, but made by a non-microsoft-based place so won't complain about your windows version, and you can use it to chat with people using regular msn.
