MSN will not work? internet connection fine?

my internet is working fine, but my MSN will not work. Not even Windows Messenger!!! The only change that i can think of is i now have wired internet- wouold this affect MSN? its error code 80072745- ive looked it up on the net and nothing helps.

P.S i have also tried repairing it through control panel, to no avail.
