Are msn messages stored anywhere else on computer?

I've deleted msn, and checked all received files etc, is there any way an employer can find old chat logs?
thanks

If you are using a company computer, your employer (legally I point out) could have put a keylogger on there to track such things.

Also, there can be a setting where the program stores chatts somewhere, such as a hidden partition, etc.

In short, no, you can't be sure. Don't do anything you wouldn't want a boss to see on the work computer.

I think that chat logs are stored in my documents-my sharing folder by default... i think...

if you've deleted all the conversation logs the answer is probably not. he would need data recovery software to scan for any salvagable files that haven't been overwritten and that's unlikely. That doesn't mean msn is completely gone though. there will be invariable traces of it on the comp even after uninstalling it.
Try a search for a messengers contact ID

eg: start.. search... type in something like myfriend@hotmail.com.. "myfriend" being your contact.

see what develops.

if you've deleted your RECEIVED FILES then he wont be able to find your conversations

If a person knows how to, then they can retrieve just about anything from a computer.
The FBI do it all the time. Just deleting files does NOT make them disappear.

The only way to render computer information really safe is to smash the hard drive into a million pieces with a hammer.
