Remote assistance doesnt work? but only for me?

when my friend sends it to me it works and i can see what she is doing but when she sends it to me she says that it pops up, says connecting, but then just disappears and it never works..

how can i fix this? and ive tried going onto another computer and doing remote assistance with her and then it works, very odd, i use windows live and my laptop is an IBM ThinkPad
