Is this email genuine or not, it says to pass it on to keep your MSN free those that dont will pay ten pounds? |
I will send this email to anyone that requests it, it says to copy and paste it to send to all your msn contacts or your account will close and it will cost ten pounds to use, it refers to a bbc bulletin and notice on their website, so all those arguments about they will never charge are wrong if this email is genuine and it certainly looks genuine to me It is a fake chain email. They were circulated many years ago, I'm surprised they haven't died off yet. People send chain emails for kicks (to see how far they will get?) turns out this one got pretty popular. Maybe you should've checked the date on the BBC article, and you would see that it is indeed fake or everyone's accounts would've been closed by now. Before MSN closes its accounts it would probably send out a long notice (a bit like a two-weeks notice) and an option to switch to a different service to people who use MSN/Hotmail because the service can be vital to some people's businesses and Microsoft could end up being sued for loss of income, etc. so don't believe anything you hear about MSN closing unless it's from Microsoft themselves. They wouldn't close without telling you. It would be against business ethos. The reason BBC said that MSN would start charging for their accounts is because they have started charging for their accounts but only for improved features. The basic services of MSN messenger and Hotmail are free and probably always will be. Always go to the web site thats being disclamed. They're just spam. How long have u had them.
