I need to get a @hotmail.com email address , How?????

I have a friend who has a @hotmail.com addresss who I wish to chat online with him, how can I do it???(please help)
I've tried logging on to msn but now they have this window live things which I do not know if it's the same.Please help.

Window Live is MSN. What you have to do is download it and go on www.hotmail.com and register an email address, after that just log in with your email and password. Tell your friend your email and...poof! Your done!

On MSN when you go to sign on, it'll say at the bottom "Create a Windows Live ID". If you're using an older version, there will still be a link somewheres talking about creating an account. You go there and fill everything out, and then you'll be able to sign on.

with a live.com address you can talk to anyone still wheather they have a hotmail.com address or msn.com as long as it is an email address from msn so yes windows live is msn

MSN Messenger is f*ck badass. It require me to upgrade to MSN 8.0 but after attempt to install the latest version,it said couldn't works on my Windows ME. FU*K
