Can some one help me with these msn viruses?

i got 1 of those stupid msn viruses and now my friends r recieving msgs sayin "check out my new car" or "is this pic 2 skanky 4 myspace" ppl have told me how 2 get id of it by deleting the file n so on but i cant find the file in my computer any where!! It doesnt help not knowing much bout computers either! can anyone help me get rid of this ****??

use activescan for online scanning ..
if it finds some files and won`t delete them (due to commercial reasons that might happen) copy&paste the report on the notepad, search the files and delete them. don't forget to unable your antivirus temporally before online scanning

I got it too. E-mail all your friends and warn them not to open it (that how the virus hacks into your systems) nd get spyware webrooter to hunt it out. It is a trojan horse and webroot will squish it for you. That's how i got rid of it

If not you can download a free version anti virus software from Avast. go to www.avast.com and download the software. Run the software and see if you really have a virus. You may have spyware and thats a different software you need to run. You can download a free version of this software from MicroSoft called Windows Defender. You should run these two programs and see what it finds. If they find something it will tell you and then you can quarantine them and delete them. I am running an antivirus and becaise it is sent as a "zip" file it is only when you click on it that your computer is infected. I didn't do it but my wife did. I ran the antivirus and it didn't fix the problem

For anyone who has this problem the way I rectifiy the problem is to go into ...CONTROL PANEL.... and then into.. ADD AND REMOVE PROGRAM FILES.... and remove "Windows Installer" and "Windows Messenger" and the you will have to download Windows Live Messenger back onto your computer. You will not lose your list of contacts.

I had one like that. My virus stuff didnt remove it so i done it myself. Open the file menu on msn and open "open recieved files folder". From there, there should be a folder that you have never seen before or dont know anything about. If you try to open it, it shouldnt open. Delete it, and if that doesnt work, try a virus detecting program. Dont forget to delete that folder from the trash can too, as it still affects you as long as its on your computer.

Do not accept these files! Because it's really dangerous, i once did this and my computer completely ****** up. Download spybot search and destroy! That worked for me because this is known as spyware.
