How can i set a moving picture as my msn display picture?

As Hubert said, you currently can't set any sort of animated display pictures apart from using Deluxe Display Pictures (there's a link where you change your DP).

However, the next version of WLM (version 9.0) allows the usage of animated .GIF files, although your contacts must also have WLM 9.0 to see them. It isn't currently officially released by MSN, as it's still in the private beta stage, although it's predictably and reliably been leaked, so you can find downloads for it on the web ( http://www.9down.com/down.php?site=1&fil... ).

It's still a private beta though, it hasn't been officially released to the public by MSN. That means that it may still have bugs or problems, and could potentially harm your computer (although it won't :P).

Windows Messenger does not accept moving GIF images or SWF files as display pictures. Sorry.

However, most common still images are accepted, including still GIFs. They just won't animate.

SWF files are not image files, as they are flash files. Therefore, they will not be accepted. The only exception is Dynamic Display Pictures, which you have to register for.

I believe you can, just make sure that the file type is a *.GIF* file.
