How can you stop MSN for poping up evertime i start my computer?

remove it completely from ya computer before it takes over ;) LOL

i would like the answer to that too. i think it always does that unless you have the really old version. sorry i didnt help @ all did i?!

click start - run - type msconfig - hit enter - click start up - and uncheck MsnMsgr

There should be a checkbox in Tools>Options and click the General tab. Uncheck "auto run when I log into Windows"

in msn go to tools then options. untick the box thats says to open msn when you log onto windows ( worded something like that )

you open it up and then go into the options or preferences menu whichever it's called, and somewhere in there i think in the general tab there's a box checked that says start messenger when windows starts. just unckeck that box, and hit ok.

First try to right click on the icon in your system tray and click run this program on start up. If it does not work/ does not exist
the next step is os dependent so please tell us if you use xp vista osx...

In MSN, click into your tools menu and then settings, in the connection tab, make sure the "Run when Windows starts" is unchecked

change your settings on your sign in page, it asks if you want to sign in automatically at start up ,you need to cancel this.

click on to tools, (look above next to help)) then Internet options, then home page, and change it to what ever site you want

I used to have the same problem, it gets annoying. I think when it pops up next time exit the msn. Then there will be the log in screen, there should be an option that is clickable, unselect the one that say "remember me" this way, it will not log you in automatically, and there should be an automatic startup option as well there that you can check off.

open msn, go to tools, options, general and uncheck the box at the top

If you go into setting when its open it should have a box that says run on start up or something similar and you just untick!

go to top of your msn messenger.....click tool, click options
go to preference.....un-check run messenger when window starts

Just go to Start, then on Run type "msconfig", click on the Startup tab and uncheck whatever you dont want windows to run at start up...
Just be sure u double check to see what u turned off
then click ok and restart the pc

1. sign in
2. at the top click tools - a drop list will come up
3. click options
4. on the left personal is highlighted - click general (right under that)
5. uncheck "Automatically run Windows Live Messenger when I log on to Windows"

this depends on the version of msn you have though

i wanted to know this too iv just done mine.. i signed in to msn went on the bit where you change your status to online/busy etc clicked on options at the bottom then clicked on general , at the top it says 'automatically run windows live messenger when i log into windows' iv just unchecked it then clicked apply.... all done hopefully lol
