How do I fix a javascript:rep problem?

I've searched yahoo answers and haven't found an adequate response to other questions in relation to "javascript:rep" issues.

I am a member of various MSN Groups and can't reply to any messages. When I click on the reply button an error message appears at bottom left of screen " javascript:rep(4762)" - or other such numbers.

I have just moved and reconnected with a new broadband provider. I have deleted history/temp files etc, I have latest version of Java installed, I have unblocked popups and I have also held down both CTRL and SHIFT keys before clicking on a 'reply' button and none of these seem to work. Firewall is configured correctly.

Likewise I have similar problems on other pages outside of MSN where I click on a link (that opens another window).

I'm out of ideas; I would appreciate help or suggestions. Thanks!

You need javascript turned on in order to use those javascript links. In firefox goto Tools>Options>Content and check enable java and enable javascript. On I.Explorer goto Tools>Internet Options>Advanced and tick Java (Sun), Java console enabled (requires restart), java logging enabled. Hope this helps!
