Windows live messenger keeps freezin when i sign in .. what can i do to fix it ???

ok so everytime i sign in msn it freezes ... and i have to close it ..... all the time so i cant really go on msn now ... how do i fix it ... i scan my computer n fix all the stuff that needs fixin ... but it still doesnt help plzz help n tell me what i can do to fix this problem thankz

add and remove programmes
MSN
'change'
when the wizard appears select 'repair'
wait til the wizard finishes
sign in again
check if you installed a skin, scipt, plugin, animated display or sth. recently .. that might be the reason ..
check if you have some kind of virus, (scan your pc) if you are running a p2p (emule, ares) ,these use a lo of bandwidth when runnign full speed, .. (in this case, slow down the p2p and restart the router) ..
