Problems signing into msn messenger...?

i bring up the sign in part of the messenger, i type in my msn user and password, then i click on "sign in"

but it doesn't do anything, it just stays on the sign up part, messenger doesn't even attempt to sign in.

i have removed and readded it many times but still nothing

any help with this ?
