MSN messenger name?

I've always wondered why in some ppl's msn display name, they have something as follows: {b= 54 }_name_ {/b}. What is the purpose of having b= 54 in front and having /b at the end??

People don't realise you see [c=3] [/c] etc an all the other formatting, as the guy above me said, they have Messenger Plus! They see colours, bold, strikeout, etc!

In all likelihood they have a special character, symbol, or formatting in their display name that your computer cannot read. In the case of /b, they probably have tried to "bold" the display name.

i have to agree with this and whats with people having a novel for a nick name that stretches to the end of my monitor. What happened to keeping it real. just your real name is enough. some of them got so bad on my msn list i had to rename their nicks.

it is to change the color of there name to see it get messenger plus type it in to google (:

search google for MSN Plus and download that and you'll no longer see those. [they're color codes to make your name pretty]

use codes
for example
[c=2]yourname[/c=4] (4 is red)
just check out the colour codes in the conversation window and introduce it after the 'c' in [c='code number']
