On msn whats problem 80072efd?

wont let me sign in msn messenger says 80072efd

You don't mention whether it was working and now, suddenly, it doesn't or if it's never worked.
If it's the former then it may be something to do with the MSN Messenger server. It may be down and the bods at that end are probably down something like upgrading the servers or general maintenance work.
If it's the latter then it could be something to do with your firewall or some system setting that you've inadvertently changed.
Leave it a few hours or a day and you'll find it will come back on soon or later if it's just the server.

dunno what the problem is but what is the text tht goes with it? try going on the msn help/troubleshooter site.

Check the .NET Messenger Service Status.

Remove any Internet Explorer proxy server settings

In Internet Explorer, click Tools and then click Internet Options.
In the Internet Options dialog box, go to the Connections tab.
Click LAN Settings鈥?br> Untick the Use a proxy server for your LAN (These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections) checkbox.
Click OK and OK again Internet Options


Click on the Start menu, select Run and type the following:

then try signing in again
