Hotmail - I want a .com email address, but the choices are only .co.uk?

why is this? have they changed??? or is it because im in the UK? is the us site a different address?

Yes it is because you are in the UK.

I don't usually recommend using proxiess, but to setup your account use a US proxie, it detects your IP and location then assigns the uk.com

If proxie doesn't work have a friend in the US set up the account for you, you can change the password after.

Are you going to www.hotmail.com?

yes, if u were in Australia, it would be .com

if u select UK as your country you will always get teh .co.uk address. just select any other country and make an address and you will get a .com address.
