Just got e-mail from a friend, msn chat line is closing down.has anyone heard about this?

MSN chat ROOMS already closed down. MSN as in the messenger for talking one to one to people online is not closing down.

Any other mails about too many users or other fake mails should be ignored.

Microsoft run a very sucessfull ad funded communications network. Why would they shut it down?

It was never the same after they made it pay for use years ago. ah the good old days. Havent used it since.

yeah I did, the email said too many usernames were taken up and that they were shutting it down

The same problem with the forwarded email (the story that your friend will get an ipod if you send this message to anyone else, they get your email adress and send you spam)

i think it is a fake i have got e-mails from people saying that msn is making people going to pay for using it from a certain date and the people who made the e-mail even went as far to make a fake bbc news story about it with bbc.co.uk as the url

You had the one about your MSN icon turning blue if you send it to so many other people (impossible, because there is no blue icon programmed in it)? Or the one where you send it to so many people and press F12 and the name of the person you fancy flashes up (impossible again because a computer can't be programmed to read minds)? They're all a load of bollocks. Just delete it and don't worry about it. :-)

they cant close msn because 80% of their whole customer ratio is just because of msn messenger service.
