MSN virus? "Is this your picture?"?

My sister has a virus where whenever she goes on msn, it sends a link to everyone saying something like, 'is this your picture?' and then a link.

It was sent to her, and she clicked on it... yes, not the best thing to do. Which is why it keeps sending it to people.

She has run a virus scan, with both McAfee and the Microsoft updates, and done various other basic things, including trying to system restore, but it failed to complete.

Neither of the scans found anything.

So, the question is, what else can we try? Has anybody else had this virus?

use activescan for online scanning ..
if it finds some files and won`t delete them (due to commercial reasons that might happen) copy&paste the report on the notepad, search the files and delete them. don't forget to unable your antivirus temporally before online scanning

and i get pissed cuz i've tried everything but i cant get rid of it

ok il try to help u but i kinda need to be there. you are dealing with a spyware that is hidden (very hidden) and they know what they are doing. one the link could be for a personal page but these people can only do it for awhile due to the "spy bot" only having a short life time so it should go away in a little bit be patient :P and it will hold some programs from removing it because like i said this is a grade A hacker... i have been on his trail for awhile so please forward link because i need to give this guy a bug :P ik bad but he ruined som accs

i had a virus from msn that crashed my computer .
and when the computer was fixed i got it again .
(yeah im dumb)
i deleted my cookies and it went away .
i guess i got it early ..??
