Msn please help me :( I'm in social despair?

Well my msn wont work, so ive binned it, now im looking for a new messenger that supports msn but isnt msn er example trillion but i dont want to use that as its not good.
I dont wanna use a web based msn so any 1 know of a good messenger that i can use my hotmail address on please post i will rate high for all answers

My msn is getting a stupid error code 81000306 and ive exhausted google's search with it that im just giving up on msn

Whats wrong with your MSN? Try reinstalling it. If you can't sign in make sure your clock is set right. Also with yahoo messenger you can add MSN contacts.

Your best bid will be yahoo messenger. Get the newest yahoo messenger and you can still use your msn and hotmail contacts there

I keep getting the exact same error code and it wont let me sign in to msn or hotmail. i tried uninstalling it but now i cant get on any msn site to download it again. apprentley some of microsofts servers have gone down, however mines been like this for nearly a week now!!! so frustrating!!

to fix 81000306 error try this
Open with Notepad: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts

Add these 2 lines to the bottom:

65.54.239.80 messenger.hotmail.com
65.54.239.80 dp.msnmessenger.akadns.net

Save it and restart WLM
