Since down loading IE7 I keep getting adverts, how do I get rid of them.?

these are opo ups/-/pop unders that you see saying you have quaddrillion errors/-/virus' and if you will only BUY the advertised software,you will be rid of these parasites.

well,the parasite is the software containing ANYTHING but helpful software.

we call these ads MESSENGER SPAM !!

because they come through the Messenger service. both Alerter & Messenger services are left [ by default ] open for business users to create business networks.

for HOME users,these are DANGEROUS ports to leave open and hackers regularly ping [ look ] for thes open ports to deliver those DANGEROUS adware ads !!!

before we go on,you may NOT have administrative tools even showing ANYWHERE on your computer.

here's how to set it up.

right click start
select properties
select start menu
select customize
check "show administrative tools" under system administrative tools section

my choice was to chech the "all programs and start page"

you can choose that or just all programs,your choice

now,back to work.

all services listed are listed in alphabetical order

right click Alerter service
select properties
from the drop down menu
choose disable

do the same for Messenger service in the M section of the services listing

this applies ONLY to XP users. Vista has this problem covered

open ie and click tools then internet options and privacy and muck sure where it says turn on pop up blocker its checked and thrn go to settings and wwhere it says aloowed sites click remove and then go to filter level and choose high block all popus and click close and then ok



and if still that dowsn't help download antispyware like windows defender its so good from www.microsoft.com and search for windows defender for xp


and still doesn't help scan for viruses and spywares on ur computer and if found remove them delete them


and if all that doesn't help go to google and search for google pack or just go to pack.google.com and where it says Choose only the software you want uncheck all except google toolbale for ie and click download google pack and follow the instructions
