How do i get my parents to give me MSN?

MY parents wont give me MSN why??

Im the only one that dosn't have it!!! (im 14)

they are just trying to protect you from all these pervs that flock to the chat rooms on msn and other sites to try to pick up kids like yourself.

maybe because they dont want you talking to people you dont know

i'm 14 too my mum dnt know i got msn just go to google type in get windows live and just sign out when they r around lol

They are probably worried about crazies talking to you, to be honest MSN is probably a lot safer than most chat rooms.

Can you sit down with them & show them how it works with friend lists ect then take them to a chat room that you can probably already get to & show them how much worse that is!

I think they are trying to protect you but going about it in a way that makes me think they don't really understand how to.

If your really nice to them and promise to only speak to people you know. eg friends.

Then they might let you. they are only trying to protect you.

Tell them that you wouldnt WANT to add strangers anyway coz ur not the kinda person that would want to, and just say id rather talk to my mates than a bunch of strangers..what wud b the point in that mum? xo

My 12 year old nephew has it. He only talks to me and his mates. Can strangers get into it?

Well Its not a chat room, if they dont want you to speak to strangers then dont add people you dont know!! only add your friends,
Ive had MSN since i was about 8 ! and never had any problems over it with strangers and weirdos (im 12 now)
if you explain its not a chat room, and promise to only give your addi out to your friends, then they might let you.

if they let you on here they should let you on there. my daughter has msn. (i do, but only talk to my daughter) you only talk to the people you've added yourself. you don't have to talk to anybody you don't want to. tell them they can look if they want. my daughter initially set it up herself without me knowing, but i still look to see who she's talking too and have warned her about the internet in general. there are far worse things on the internet than msn.

Stop moaning and go out down the park with a football. It's far better than staying indoors barking abbreviations at peadophiles in disguise.

Hi,just say several of your friends have msn and you would like to be able to talk to them on line,show your parents you are being sensible and only adding the addresses of mates,let them know who you are talking to,maybe even ask them for a web-cam so that if you are chatting with someone that also has one ,they can see exactly who you are talking to,be open with them they are more likely to let you have it if you are honest.There are some very strange people that use the chat sites,so your parents are only being protective,they love you so they don`t want anything nasty to happen to you because some perve gets you to meet them,by pretending they are the same age as you.

use a web messenger such as http://www.ebuddy.com/ then your parents need never know ;)

if you cant download/install MSN live messenger they run a free web alternative

Note: They're only trying to look out for you. You only need to hear the news on average once every fortnight to understand why.

everyone in my grade had MSN and i didnt because my parents thought it was unsafe.. >____<;;

Well, I asked my parents like a billion times. And I also told them that all of my friends have msn.
I think you should also add that you will be very careful and safe and that you won't accept anyone that you dont know.
Parents are usually very protection if their children so yaa.. well at least thats what my parents are like.. o.O"

why do you need to involve them. make a hotmail email account or msn and just go on www.e-messenger.net and use msn online.
