My windows live messenger icon wont appear on the desktop. i have downloaded it many times. still nothing help

for some reason it just wont appear on my desktop... anybody got any ideas... everything is useful ;)

go to the start button at the bottom left side and search for the program and then click and drag it onto the desktop part.

it will show up lol

navigate through

C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger

and right click "msnmsgr.exe" and create shortcut

cut and paste the short in your desktop.

Have you tried Pidgin? Pidgin is far superior to any other messenger client as it allows you to talk with friends on several other chat clients at the same time! I routinely chat with friends that are on yahoo, msn, icq, trillian, all at the same time with Pidgin, no logging in and out of various clients.

i had a similar problem

all u have to do is go on mycomputer>Local disk>Program Files>Windows Live>Messenger then look for the icon should be called msnmsgr then drag it to the desktop

Mine did that too, I went to "Programs" and right clicked on messenger and selected "Send to desktop (make copy)" and now it's there
