I am going to purchase a laptop in a couple of days. What is the best brand to purchase? |
I am looking to spend like $900.00 or less but I want a great computer that will run fast, good sound and has good battery life and light weight. What brand is best to buy? Thanks Check out the cnet reviews of PCs/laptops. They also have the average price for the system. l HP laptops are very efficient infact you can build you own on the hp website, choose a base model then upgrade and tweak it with extra features such as more memory, webcam, microphone, programs, etc. Two other pretty good brands are dell and gateway. Look for a laptop with about 1-2 DDR2 memory, over 150 gb of space, a good graphics card, and a good cd burner. most run from about 650$ to 800$ Dell has had awesome deals on their Vostro line (I just bought one a couple of weeks ago). You have to go to their website and click on "SMALL BUSINESS". The Vostro 1400 and Vostro 1500 are EXACTLY the same as the Inspiron 1420/1421 and 1520/1521 but they're black, mylar-sealed, composite material, and like $600 cheaper. You will not find more bang for your buck. hp pavilion dv 9000 series with a discrete video card. the best to me. dell best buy is a great store and good sales staff to help u out since they are not on commission. got a toshiba 14" screen last christmas and vry happy with it but now all the laptops come with a built in cam so make sure u get that one. shud be under 700 bucks until they put on the warrantys etc. but u always have the geek squad to help u out for a small fee ..lots of luck I have a dell and a mac. get a dell you can download things with a dell and cant on a mac Sony is great, but bit expensive. i think this is an opinion question cuz everyone has different definitions of fast and good battery life. but if ur asking me i say get an apple ibook, which is wut i have i think its perfect. but thats my opinion. hope this helped! |
