Blackberry phone for an Internet server to my laptop?

When I bought my Blackberry 8700 I was told that I could us the internet connection for my laptop. How do I do this? (I have a old laptop that doesn't have a wireless card). Help!

I'm not familiar with that type of phone, but most phones with Internet connectivity will be recognized by your PC/Laptop as a 'Modem' when attached - usually thru usb cable. When connected to your Laptop (you may need to buy cable), look in 'Control Panel' - 'System' - 'Hardware' - 'Device Manager', your phone will show up under 'Modem' category. However, if you use your phone as a Modem the cost for connecting (per minute) can be expensive, as oppose to paying monthly for normal broadband connection ! An alternative is something like I use - TMoblie 'Web 'n' Walk - This gives you Broadband connection just about anywhere for a standard Monthly Fee. Just plug it into your PC/Laptop and take it anywhere.
