I'm so confused about how wireless internet works. At my home, all that's available is dial up, so I ... |
...won't be sharing that. On my laptop, I want the kind of wireless internet where I can go just about anywhere and get a connection, as if it were by satellite or something. I don't want to have to be near home, near a coffee shop or something like that. I looked at Verizon wireless internet and for Texas, the coverage doesn't come close to me! Is there another kind? Where I could get a signal anywhere that I could, say, on my cell phone???? So, Cain, I could get the satellite kind for around $200 a month? I'm imagining it on top of my car....that would be awful! Could it be IN my car, pointed out the back window? And then I could use it in my house, work....as long as I'm within 150 feet or so of my car?? What you want is not the regular wifi but wireless BROADBAND ROAMING. Better get in touch with your mobile network to subscribe to such kind of service. OK you can use "wireless" Internet in two ways: #3. Paying $200-$300 a month for service and buying a mobile satellite dish and then you can get internet anywhere in the world. |
