Craiglist selling?

have you ever sold anything on www. craiglist.org ? i put a used laptop on it getting lots of emails on it. wondering what its really worth. windows crashed on it. here a link what it shows it has. http://www.clearanceclub.com/products/43... i have no cd for it.

When listing merchandise, include a picture of the item you are selling and the specifications on the item.

Always list a price as OBO (or best offer) to encourage buyers.

Before setting your price, search Craigslist for other listings of similar products so that you are not overcharging for the item you are trying to sell.

Do not take checks or money orders from Craigslist buyers. Cash only is the only way to make sure you actually got paid for your item. Also, invest in one of those counterfit pens (you can find them at any office supply store) to make sure you are getting paid in real money and not fake. There are a lot of scam artists out there.

I have sold a lot of merchandise on Craigslist and using these tips I always got a good price for my merchandise, lots of response to my ads, and always got my money for my merchandise.

o dude i use to sell it on creglist before most of the people are fraud. dont trust no one unless they are willing to pay cash if they say anything dont believe them the other method like wire tranfer and check etc are fraud.

I did recently sell a laptop on Craigslist in December with a very good result.

The buyer wanted to use a personal check to be cleared before end of year (for 2007 tax deductions) and agreed to handing over the check in exchange for a signed letter detailing the conditions of the transaction, my name and employer. Originally, he also asked to have the power supply be included as a collateral but chose not to once I informed him that the box is brand new sealed and that he would have to extract it out the box in my presence if that is the case.

Once the check was cleared (I took the check to the bank right away upon receiving it), we arranged a time to hand over the laptop. I closed the transaction with another letter documenting the end of transaction. Both letters had two copies which had both our signatures so we both had collateral that had our names in full and name of employer at all times.

It was a very pleasant transaction and I must honestly say, it really might be one of the exceptions. But I do believe there are honest people on Craigs - after all, if you consider yourself honest, then have faith there must be others out there.

That was actually also my first time selling anything on CL.
