Hello, I have an Acer notebook, and from time to time, it just shuts off without warning, no restarting...? |
Whenever I am doing *anything* on my laptop, in about an hour or two the damn thing just shuts off. No restarts, no warning, just a muffled click. I am perplexed here, and at first I blamed it on overheating, but eventually it started to shut down even when on a flat surface such as a desk. I ran multiple virus scans on my computer with no avail. I went back to thinking it was a problem with overheating but, I don't know. I would open it up and see if there is dog hair stuck innards of my laptop, but I don't want to invalidate any warranties when I all I have to mail to the Acer guys are just a bag of parts and a shrug. Any thoughts? It could still be overheating. First, suck out as much dust and dirt as you can with a vacuum cleaner at the fan hole(s). Then, when it shuts off, feel around the heat sink. (You'll have to find a maintenance manual on line.) If it's really hot, it's an overheating problem. its window's fault that happens to mine too. but i have a desktop. i think that is what it is called. someone hacked your computer. that happened to mine so i just formatted it or you can buy a new one which is not as good as formatting it. |
