Is my hp laptop (dv600) good for gaming?

I have the hp pavillion dv6000 with 2g ram, amd ahlonx2 processor, nvidia mcp67m and 120gb hard drive.
Is this good for gaming or it will go really slow and lagg?
if it is good, will i have to configure any settings for it to run smoothly??

it depends on what you mean by 'gaming'

older games will run fine on it. you won't much fun with many newer ones. you don't ate what sort of games you want to play so its hard to answer.

it has a NVidia GeForce Go 7200 gpu which is the critical component for its ability to play games.

to put it in perspective, have a look here

Its a pretty basic chipset. this means you can probably look at games that are 3 years old or older and be fairly confident they will run at their intended speed. anything newer will be iffy. Anything from the last 12-18 months or so, unlikely it will run well.

Its ok,,,,but thats because your video is not the greatest,,
you have enough ram,,,but video and processor are,,,just
ok,,,yes, its onboard,,and there is no great onboard video,,

it should be ok, but that sounds like a chipset and not an actual card, so i would put everything up to the max and make sure the games your playing aren't to much for the computer. it always depends on the applications your running. if they are really demanding games they might give you a bit of trouble but you should be ok for the most part. simple games should run well

if you're thinking of buying a laptop you should check out this site first. they give you a sony vaio laptop for FREE! all you need to do is complete a few quick tasks for them.

its ok with medium or low setting and details for latest games!!!but older games will run fine on it
