Mac Parrallels to run windows, will parrallels be fast enough to run photoshop in windows?

the question is a little obscure but I am going to be purchasing a macbook soon and I have Photoshop CS3 for windows which I use quite often. I want to keep photoshop accessible on the mac so i was wondering about parallels. Will I be able to run PS in parallels at a good speed? Right now my laptop is 512mb running it. Will I basically have a PC built in to my mac?

It really deponds on alot more things that just your ram. if you have a core 2 duo processor or better you should be ok. Another thing you should be weary off is weather or not your planing to use vista if you dont have 2gb of ram and you want to try parrallels to run vista then your not even close

It'll be fairly good, but of course not as good as Photoshop running natively on the Mac.

If you want to run the PC version of Photoshop at full speed on your Mac you can actually boot it straight into Windows using the included Bootcamp (you'll need to buy a copy of Windows too), but then you have to reboot to get back to OS X afterwards. Parallels, which allows you to run both Windows and OS X at the same time really offers the best of both worlds.
