What's the name of memory stick online test interconnecting device please?

laptop or pc manufacture need to test wether the memory stick is good or not, they use that device.

I found this little device that attaches USB and uses your motherboard's DIMM slots as the diagnostic tool connector. Pretty nifty, if it does what it says it does.
